Recipe: Strawberry Banana Smoothie

What tastes better than fresh strawberries? I love strawberries and make sure I have enough of them in the season. Strawberry and Banana smoothie is my one such favorite drink that I relish always. This is a complete meal in itself, you can enjoy it for breakfast/ dessert or any time of the day. It is rich in calcium, fibers, and vitamins. Adding chia seeds or flax seeds to it make it more nutritious and it is even recommended for people struggling to shred few extra pounds. You can use greek yogurt or thick curd or even avoid curd and make the smoothie in milk. If fresh strawberries or banana is not available you can use the frozen fruits which gives a thickness to the smoothie.

Strawberry Banana Smoothie:
Serves 1
Takes  8- 10 minutes

Ingredients:

5 tablespoon Greek yogurt/thick curd
1 tablespoon flax seeds
3 medium sized strawberries
1/2 or 1 frozen banana (depending on your taste)
1 tablespoon Honey/ sugar (as per your taste)

Method:

Add all ingredients to the blender and pulse until combined.
Serve immediately.

Add milk if it is too thick or add ice or frozen fruits if it is too thin.

And enjoy this healthy drink.
